The Homeowner Check-In is a new check-in flow on the “Your Market” module of the Home Digest. This check-in helps capture where client's are in their home ownership journey by asking simple, personalized questions about:
Whether they’re thinking about selling
Their potential timeline
Any related needs
Based on their answers, homeowners will see tailored follow-up questions, smart CTAs (calls-to-action), and options to connect with their loan officer, real estate agent, or other trusted professional on Homebot.
The check-in feature can be found under the Your Market module. Clients can access it from the navigation bar on the left or by clicking “See why”, as shown in the screenshot below.
Why it matters
This feature is all about personalization.
For homeowners: It creates a guided experience with relevant next steps, so they’re not left guessing what to do.
For professionals on Homebot: It provides timely insights, making it easier to understand clients’ needs and step in at the right moment.
Ultimately, this builds a smoother, more meaningful ownership journey while also paving the way for a more robust seller experience in the future.
How it works
When it appears:
New clients/homeowners see the check-in after their second view of Homebot.
For existing clients/homeowners receiving Homebot who have already reached this point, they’ll see it immediately.
Frequency:
The check-in is available for a two-month window.
It then reappears once a year to capture updated intentions.
Low-friction design:
Homeowners can skip questions at any time.
Even partial responses are helpful and captured for insight.
Client events & tracking:
Responses generate client events, which appear in the Activity feed and on their profile, as seen in the gif below.
The client will surface in the Moving Soon Key Client List if they set a move date within 1 year on the check in, as seen in the image below.
Watch examples of the check-in flows
In the Your Market module of the Home Digest, the check-in appears at the top and begins with a simple question:
“How long do you plan to stay in your current home?”
From there, the homeowner is guided down one of two tracks:
Track 1: Preparing to Move (Under 1 Year)
If a homeowner indicates they plan to move within the next year, we’ll assume they may be preparing to buy or sell. They’ll see follow-up questions such as:
“Why are you planning a move?”
“When do you want to move?”
We’ll then ask:
“What could you use help with?”
At this point, they’ll have the option to send you a direct message, opening the door for timely engagement.
Track 2: Longer-Term Ownership (Over 1 Year)
If a homeowner plans to stay longer than a year, they’ll move into the ownership track. Here, they’ll be asked:
“Do you have any near-future financial goals?”
Based on their answer, they can either explore more insights within their Home Digest or choose to reach out to you directly for guidance.
