Video tips

  • Record horizontally for the best viewing experience.

  • Keep your tone natural and conversational—just be yourself!

  • If you're using YouTube, make sure your video is set to Public so it can be viewed without issues. For instructions on adding your video to one of the supported platforms and what information we need, see this article.

  • If your YouTube video is under 60 seconds, it will be considered a YouTube short. While there is a workaround for adding that video type (contact customer support), it will be much easier to add your video if it's 61+ seconds.

If you’ve already recorded your video as a YouTube Short, you can use the workaround below to ensure it works properly with Homebot’s video features.

You’ll know it’s a YouTube Short if it’s under 60 seconds long and the URL includes the word “shorts” - for example:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/uxX4JVciz98

The workaround:
Simply replace shorts/ in the URL with watch?v= so it looks like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxX4JVciz98

The above format will work correctly within Homebot.Have questions?
