Customizing Your Homebot Account

Learn how to personalize your Homebot account with a welcome video, custom email, disclaimer, loan application link, integrations, and more.

Homebot works right out of the box, but a few minutes of customization goes a long way. Here's how to make your account feel like you β€” so every report and email your clients receive reflects your brand and expertise.


Add a Welcome Video

When you embed a welcome video, it will auto populate in a client or prospects Homebot and will remain there for 30 days until watched. It's one of the most impactful things you can do β€” clients and prospects who see a personal video are more likely to engage and reach out.

To add one, navigate to the Video tab β†’ Embed Video β†’ Welcome. You'll need to:

  1. Record your video outside of Homebot (phone or laptop)

  2. Upload it to a video platform (YouTube, Vimeo, BombBomb, etc.)

  3. Paste the URL, embed code, or ID into Homebot

You can also embed videos in other sections of the Home Digest, such as the Refi, Pre-Qual, or Should You Sell module.


Customize Your Welcome Email

The welcome email is the only automated email you can fully customize. There's one version for clients and one for prospects. Navigate to the Account tab β†’ Digest Settings to edit both.

You can update the body copy and subject line to reflect your voice and set expectations for what clients will receive.

The default subject lines are tested for deliverability β€” only change them if you have a strong reason to.


Add a Custom Disclaimer

Every Homebot report already includes a standard disclaimer that tells clients where data comes from and encourages them to reach out to you. When you add a custom disclaimer, it appears at the top of that message β€” giving you space to add a required compliance message or a personal note.

Navigate to the Account tab β†’ Profile section β†’ scroll to Disclaimer, add your message, and click Save.


Connect Your Loan Application Link

Adding your loan application URL lets clients explore financing options and apply directly from their Home Digest. You'll also be notified in your activity feed when someone clicks it β€” a clear signal to follow up.

Navigate to the Account tab β†’ Profile section β†’ add your Loan Application URL and click Save.


Connect Integrations & Power-Ups

Navigate to the Account tab β†’ Power-Ups section to connect your favorite tools:

  • Zapier β€” Syncs client data between your CRM/LOS and Homebot automatically (paid Zapier account required)

  • BombBomb β€” Send personalized video messages to individual clients from their report (paid BombBomb account required)

  • Mortgage Coach β€” Lets homeowners download a Total Cost Analysis from the Refi module (paid Mortgage Coach account required)


Connect a Custom IDX (Agents)

Real estate agents can connect a preferred listings website so buyers are directed to their own search experience instead of the default Homebot home search.

Navigate to the Account tab β†’ Power-Ups β†’ Custom Listings to connect your IDX.
