Your Home Just Listed email

When a client's own home is listed for sale, Homebot automatically sends them an email, usually within 24 hours. This email:

  • Shows them how their listing looks.

  • Provides helpful next steps for their selling journey.

  • Keeps your brand in front of them at a critical decision-making point.

Subject: "[Street address] listed in [City]"

Preview text: "Your sale could change what you buy next."

If the client has an assumable mortgage, we'll highlight that in the email as well.

This email is different from the listing alerts we provide for our customers. Learn about those here.

Additionally, Homebot will automatically create a Saved Search on their behalf. Once the homeowner receives their first listing alert, they’ll begin getting regular updates on similar homes in their area to stay informed and engaged with their local market.

Each email highlights nearby homes that are listed, sold, or under contract within a comparable price range, helping sellers like Holly understand how their home stacks up and what’s happening around them.

The Saved Search mirrors the property’s key details, including price range, location, and property type, so every result stays relevant and personalized.

Default Saved Search Rules

  • Price: 7.5% below to 10% above the homeowner’s listing price, rounded to the nearest $50K for a clean and consistent range.

  • Bedrooms: Matches the same number of bedrooms, up to one additional bedroom.

  • Property Type: Always matches the homeowner’s property type.

  • Location: Begins with the homeowner’s immediate neighborhood. If no listings are available, the search automatically expands to a larger surrounding area, and then to the full city.

Why does this matter?

Listing a home is one of the most important and stressful steps in the homeownership journey. Once the property goes live, homeowners often wait anxiously for the next phase: selling and then buying their next home.

This is exactly when they need guidance the most and Homebot helps you step in naturally. Instead of cold outreach, this email gives you a chance to:

  • Start a relevant, timely conversation.

  • Support your clients during a transitional moment.

  • Position yourself as the go-to expert before their next purchase.

This shift aligns with Homebot’s larger focus on the selling lifecycle, helping you engage clients in a personalized way that feels supportive, not salesy.

With credit triggers being phased out industry-wide, this feature gives you a major advantage. Instead of relying on outdated methods, you’ll have a natural, value-driven way to engage homeowners at a key point in their journey.

Key rules to know

  • Who receives it: Clients with a verified home in Homebot who have already received at least one Home Digest.

  • When it sends: Only when the client's home newly appears as listed. Each listing triggers one email.

  • Timing: Homebot updates listing data every 24 hours, so these emails are triggered each morning.

  • Unsubscribes: Clients who have turned off home search and listing updates won't receive this email.

  • Turning it off: This email can't be self-managed, but support can turn it off for your account.

The listing agent gets an email too

When your client's home is listed, Homebot also sends a companion email to the listing agent at the contact address on their MLS listing. Its subject line is "Regarding your listing at [street address]."

  • When it's skipped: If your client's primary Homebot pro is a real estate agent, the listing agent email isn't sent.

  • Removing an agent: Listing agents who'd prefer not to receive these emails can contact Homebot support to be removed.
